J-S Training is please to be able to offer In-House training. tailored to your own requirements.  Currently J-S Training can offer 2 types of sessions:

Client Centred

These types of sessions are available to enable professionals to support a particular client.  J-S Training will arrange to come to your organisation and deliver training to: your client and supporter, plus a small team of professionals, enabling the team to support the client fully.

These types of session include practical demonstrations using weighted dolls (if appropriate).  The current range demonstration dolls are weighted between 3lb and 11 lb (premature through to newborn, then up to approximately 3months).  They are delivered with a range of babyclothes and accessories.  The babyclothes have a range of fastenings and styles available on the high-street to give the clients the chance to try dressing a baby in standard babyclothes in a familiar and friendly setting.  JS-Training provides ideas and potential techniques for you, as a health professional to adapt to your clients needs and ability.

Client centered sessions are organised on the information provided by yourself and your client, taking into account the clients concerns.  These sessions do require a lot of preparation and  wherever possible J-S Training would like to have contact with the specific client before the visit to enable to training to be as specific as possible.

Please contact J-S Training if you would like further details and pricing.

Please note - JS Training is not liable for any injury caused by attempting techniques demonstrated.  They are demonstrated to enable a health professional to support a client, well known to them. to discover the clients own strategies to fulfill their parenting role.

Team Sessions

These are organised to to enable a team or department to receive training regarding disabled parenting.  Sessions can be arrange from 3 hours to whole days, the actual content and delivery will be totaly up to you. For example:

Dip-in training: These are usually run as a whole day event (or longer), with a timetable of session topics available to staff beforehand, these session topics are only an hour long and enable staff to organise an hour or two away from their busy and important tasks and receive targeted training, specific to their role and requirements.  This type of training day is idea for very large and busy departments and organisations.

Cycled Training: Again suitable for the larger organisations who want the whole department to receive the same training - but cannot shut down for a whole day.  The same agreed training session would be delivered on a cycle system allowing you to organise your staff in such a way as to leave the organisation running effectively.

Costs for these Team training days vary depending on location and the types of training required please contact J-S Training to discuss your requirements further
